Lessons are once a week at the scheduled day and time, 4 weeks a month. Please refer to the studio's calendar, located in the student portal, for openings/closures, holidays, and other information.
Lesson payments are automated with the saved payment information stored upon lesson sign-up. Payment is withdrawn on a set day of the month and is for the upcoming month's lessons. The studio does not charge registration fees but mid-month enrollment will result in a pro-rated charge for the remainder of the month, plus the scheduled payment withdraw for the next month's lessons.
In-Studio Lessons
The studio and lobby should be treated with the same consideration you would give a classroom. Please respect the premises, instruments, instructor, and other students and families. Treat the studio and the equipment with care. The studio is in a shared space. Please be considerate of other offices and patrons of the building.
On-Line Lessons
Technical difficulties happen, but to keep them from happening regularly and interrupting your lessons, please make sure you have consistent internet and network connections. Skype and Zoom are the on-line lesson platforms used by Mountain Aire Music.
Student/Parent Portal
The portal is to be used for both studio and music purposes, and for Mountain Aire Music students to connect as a community. Please keep interactions civil and apply the same policies outlined for in-studio and on-line lessons.
Please arrive on time with lesson books, notebooks, and other materials for your lesson. Late arrivals interrupt the schedules of the students after you. Late arrivals may not be given the full lesson time if there is a time conflict.
Cancelations: I'm sorry you had to cancel your lesson. I understand sometimes you just can't make it. Please understand lesson cancelation needs to be within one (1) hour of your scheduled lesson. A make-up lesson is available for all canceled lessons, but you will be marked as attended for any lesson canceled less than an hour before your scheduled time. Any make-up lessons must be scheduled within one (1) month of the canceled day during available make-up times. A recorded video lesson may be used in place of an in-studio make-up lesson by request.
Do you need to stop lessons? I really don't want to see you leave, but if you must, please notify me within thirty (30) days of your last day or as soon as reasonably possible given the circumstances. If given less than two (2) weeks notice credit for future lessons or a gift certificate will be given for the remaining lessons. You must notify me before the 20th of the month to stop payment.
Social Media
Mountain Aire Music uses Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms to advertise and promote the studio and showcase how proud I am of the students and their progress. Recordings and photos of students during events, performances, and lessons (who have a signed release) may be used for these purposes.
Violating the studio's policies may result in the suspension or termination of your membership with the studio. Loss of membership or suspension of membership is at the discretion of the instructor.
